Payment Operations tasks focusing on speeding up transactions and drive our brand to new heights.

Position Overview:
The Payment Operations Associate will play a key role in supporting the Payment Manager and Payment Director by ensuring 
smooth day-to-day operations in the payment lifecycle. This entry-level role involves assisting with payment processing, 
reconciliation, and compliance, serving as a foundational position for individuals pursuing a career in payment operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Daily Payment Processing:
    • Accurately process domestic and international payments across multiple platforms.
    • Verify and monitor payment transaction statuses.
    • Assist in resolving failed or returned payments with guidance from the Payment Manager.
  2. Reconciliation and Reporting:
    • Reconcile payment transactions with bank statements and internal records.
    • Highlight and escalate discrepancies to the Payment Manager for resolution.
    • Generate periodic reports for the Payment Manager, providing insight into payment trends and issues.
  3. Compliance and Risk Monitoring:
    • Ensure all payment activities align with company policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Flag unusual transactions for further review by the Payment Manager.
    • Assist in preparing documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
  4. System Support and Maintenance:
    • Monitor payment systems for issues, ensuring uninterrupted operations.
    • Report system errors to the IT team or escalate them to the Payment Manager.
    • Participate in testing new payment system features under the Payment Manager’s direction.
  5. Customer Support Collaboration:
    • Assist in addressing payment-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
    • Liaise with the customer support team to provide timely resolutions for payment issues.
    • Document common issues to help improve customer experience and internal processes.
  6. Process Improvement:
    • Suggest process optimizations to streamline operations and reduce manual interventions.
    • Support the Payment Manager in implementing automation tools or new workflows.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
  •  Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
  • Basic knowledge of payment processing systems and workflows.
  •  Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
  •  Strong communication and collaboration skills.
     

Reporting Structure:

  •  Payment Operations Associate: Reports to the Payment Manager for day-to-day tasks and operational alignment.
  • Additional Competencies:
  •  Initiative: Demonstrates a proactive approach in identifying and addressing operational challenges.
  •  Accountability: Takes ownership of assigned tasks and ensures timely completion.

Preferred:

  •  3-5-years of relevant experience in payment operations
  • Fair knowledge of the FX industry or similar settings
  • Fair knowledge of regulatory bodies such as ASIC, FCA, SCA, Vanuatu or CYSEC is preferred
